because, here’s the thing - i’m just here to document you - feeling ya self, being ya self, stepping into ya self. i will help you naturally draw out that confidence, that sparkle, that personality and light. i will guide you in a way that feels intuitive and authentic to you, and at the end of the day, i strive for all my sessions to feel more like a playdate with co-creation - than anything else.

☆ the average investment for a portrait / branding / couples sessions is around $1,200
☆ i offer mini sessions for those local to pdx, which start at $875.

☆ i'd say.. i have a documentary style approach - i love capturing humans in motion and life as it unfolds right in front of me.
☆ i will intuitively guide you and create a space for you to feel safe and at ease throughout our time together. i will prompt you and ask you questions, i will direct you - not pose you. sometimes i might become a fly on the wall, sometimes i might give you actions, sometimes i might strike up a convo and capture the emotions that come forward, etc.
☆ either way - i got you. 0 worries if you have 0 camera experience - none of my clients ever do! do not worry. taking photos can actually be really, really fun. you'll see ;)

☆ absolutely! i am based in portland, oregon and am always available for travel.
☆ travel costs will be billed separately from the agreed upon rate. whether these costs are gas coverage, or a round trip plane ticket + accommodations - just shoot me a message if you're planning something that would require travel outside of portland, and we can talk specifics

☆ if you hire a film photographer (hopefully me!) to capture you and your vision, you are of the understanding that film likes slowness. film likes space and time to get creative without restriction. film likes light, film likes the unexpected, film does not want to be rushed. film likes to surprise you. and film absolutely loves to create magic where you least expect it.
☆ after our session, you will receive all your photos no later than 6 weeks after our shoot date - via a private, online digital gallery link - where you will be able to view, download and share all your images indefinitely.

☆ generally speaking, i shoot 100% film for all my non-wedding shoots, but for weddings i bring along a digital camera and use it about 0 - 50%, depending. i can expand on this more during our consultation :)
☆ if you hire a film photographer (hopefully me!) to capture your wedding, you are of the understanding that film likes slowness. film likes space in the wedding day timeline to get creative. film likes light, film likes the unexpected, film does not want to be rushed. film likes to surprise you. and film absolutely loves to create magic where you least expect it. creating imagery that’s parallel to what you see on my instagram/website is heavily dependent on having the time and capability to do so. more spaciousness in the timeline = more art.

☆ i don’t provide film negatives to clients, as part of my process includes carefully reviewing and editing each scan to ensure the final images represent my creative / technical standards and vision.
☆ the final culled + retouched scans are the completed work you’re investing in, and providing the raw negatives would mean releasing unfinished material that doesn’t reflect my overall quality or vision.
